Our client, a manufacturer of turbo molecular pumps and other semiconductor and industrial process equipment, is looking for a Field Service Applications Engineer (FAE) to join their Santa Clara Sales & Engineering Office.
This position will report to the Technical Support and Field Service Manager. The Field Service Application Engineer will support installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of turbo molecular pumps and the company’s other equipment and products (ie. Helium leak detectors, balancers and vacuum furnaces). The FAE also supports the Sales team with incoming inspections and verification of products, parts and materials, and the Service team with supporting and driving their Quality program.
Required Skills:
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Domestic travel and some overnight travel may be require on occasions (25%)
3-5 years work experience as a field service engineer or application engineer.
Knowledge and understanding of Service or Application principles
Strong verbal and written communication with management, co-workers, internal and external customers
